The Model 400 Liquid FLO-CONTROLLER provides low cost liquid flow control. Operating with liquids in the same way MFCs work with gases, an integrated flow sensor and proportional control valve provide a complete package.

The heart of the FLO-CONTROLLER is the flow sensor, which provides flow rate feedback for accurate control. A Model 101 microturbine FLO-SENSOR is used for this purpose. The output of the flow sensor is sent to additional processing electronics, which compare the set point (provided remotely by the user) to the actual flow rate and adjust the valve accordingly. A error signal is generated if the FLO-CONTROLLER is unable to control.

Model 400/470 Features & Options

ACCURACY / LINEARITY

All models have a standard accuracy specification of ±1.0% Full Scale (including linearity). NIST traceable calibration certificates are available as an option.

CONTROL MODULE (OPTIONAL)

The 470 Control Module was designed specifically for use with the Model 400. It provides a display showing either current set point or current flow rate, and allows the user to dial in a set point using an adjustment dial. A power adapter is included with the 470. Order the 470 separately as an accessory to the Model 400.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Units have an integrated 9-pin male connector, similar to an RS232 or serial port connector. All power and signal connections take place through this connector. A mating cable terminated with pigtail leads is included at no charge.

FLOW RANGES

Flow ranges from 13-100 mL/minute up to 0.2-2.0 L/minute are available. Consult factory for custom requirements.

FLUID CONNECTIONS

All units have acetal compression-type tube fittings as standard. Alternate fittings types may be available as found in the Product Configurator.

POWER

All Model 400 units are powered by 12 VDC. When used with the optional 470 Control Module, a power adapter (either 115VAC or 230VAC) is included.

SIGNAL INPUTS/OUTPUTS

A 0-5 VDC input signal is required as a set point for the controller. A 0-5 VDC output signal is provided to inform the user of actual flow rate.

WETTED MATERIALS

Consult the specifications for a detailed list of wetted materials. For corrosive applications, consider the Model U801 or U802
