Model 106

McMillan Model 106 FLO-SENSORS are capable of measuring extremely low liquid flow rates from 15 mL/minute up to 10 L/minute with a full scale accuracy of ±1.0% or better!

A wide variety of fluids may be measured. Repeatable results are achieved using a patented Pelton-type microturbine wheel. This proven design has been providing precision results since 1988 and has developed a well-deserved reputation for continuous operational service for many years without failure.

Because of the compact size and economical cost of these products, the Model 106 FLO-SENSORS are suitable for a wide variety of industrial, commercial, laboratory and O.E.M. applications. Some sample applications include measurement of hydrocarbon fluids, fuels, light oils, solvents, coolant, pesticides, mild acids, alkalis, and deionized water.

Several power and output configurations are available, including both pulse and analog outputs. NIST Traceable certificates are available.

Model 106 Features & Options

ACCURACY/LINEARITY

Analog output models have an accuracy specification of ±1.0% full scale (including linearity). Pulse output models have an accuracy specification of ±3.0% full scale (including linearity).

CALIBRATION

All units are calibrated at the factory using deionized water. Calibration curves may be requested for fluids with viscosities differing from water.

DISPLAYS

McMillan has a comprehensive range of remote displays for use with FLO-SENSORS. Please review displays available online or request further information from the factory.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

All units have an integrated PVC-jacketed cable terminated with pigtail leads. This 4-wire cable includes both power and signal connections. Cable length is specified in the part number.

FLOW RANGES

Flow ranges from 15-100 mL/minute up to 1-10 L/minute are available. Consult the factory for custom requirements.

FLUID CONNECTIONS

All units have compression tube fittings standard. Flaretek-compatible male flare fittings are optional. Fittings are installed using 1/8″ NPT ports. Due to assembly considerations, fittings should only be installed and removed by the factory. Non-standard connection types may be available upon request.

MT MOUNTING PLATE

Standard Model 106 units mount from the bottom. The optional MT mounting plate allows the unit to be mounted from the top, as seen in the picture.

POWER

Units may be specified to operate with either 12 VDC or 24 VDC power. Various power adapters are available for use with 12 VDC versions.

SIGNAL OUTPUTS

Units may be configured for either pulse output or analog output. Analog output choices include 4-20 mA, 0-5 VDC, and 0-10 VDC.

TX EXTERIOR COATING OPTION

The standard Model 106 has exposed aluminum and stainless steel parts on the exterior. The TX option replaces those components with PFA and Parylene coated components for extra protection against corrosive elements.

UHP APPLICATIONS

If you wish to measure the flow rate of a high purity fluid, consider the Model U707 or Model U708 instead.

WETTED MATERIALS

All units have only PTFE, perfluoroelastomers, sapphire, and PFA as wetted parts.

Model 106F

McMillan Model 106F FLO-SENSORS are capable of measuring extremely low liquid flow rates from 15 mL/minute up to 50.0 L/minute with a full scale accuracy of ±1.0% or better!
